Coral successfully guided MuSigma to ISO 42001:2023 certification

We recently supported MuSigma in achieving ISO 42001 certification by implementing a structured Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) aligned to the standard’s requirements.

Step 1: Understanding MuSigma’s AI Ecosystem
We began by gaining a deep understanding of MuSigma’s AI use cases, models, stakeholders, regulatory landscape, and business objectives. This allowed us to clearly define the AIMS scope, organizational context, and governance boundaries.

Step 2: Gap Analysis & AI Risk Assessment
We conducted a detailed gap assessment against ISO 42001 requirements and performed AI-specific impact and risk assessments. This resulted in identification of solution and governance gaps, risks, and areas requiring formal controls.

Step 3: Designing AI Governance Framework
We developed and implemented tailored AI governance policies and procedures covering fairness, transparency, accountability, human oversight, and lifecycle management. Clear roles and responsibilities were formally established.

Step 4: Implementation of Controls & Monitoring Mechanisms
We supported MuSigma in embedding technical and organizational controls, including changes in the AI solution, AI developmentr lifecycle, workflows, AI monitoring processes, documentation standards, and ongoing performance measurement KPIs.

Step 5: Internal Audit & Management Review
We conducted internal audits to validate effectiveness, facilitated management review meetings, and ensured leadership oversight and commitment — a key ISO 42001 requirement.

Step 6: Certification Readiness & Audit Support
We prepared Musigma for the external certification audit through documentation reviews, mock interviews, and corrective action closure support — leading to successful ISO 42001 certification. 

Our collaboration with MuSigma helped them achieve ISO 420001 with no non-conformities, a sign of perfect alignment with standard best practices.
