Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is the U.S. Government's security framework for assessing, authorizing, and continuously monitoring cloud service providers (CSPs) that handle federal information. It is based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the security controls defined in NIST Special Publication 800-53.
The FedRAMP journey begins with a readiness assessment, followed by the implementation of the applicable security controls based on Low, Moderate, or High impact levels. An accredited Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) independently evaluates the implemented controls and prepares assessment reports for review by a sponsoring federal agency or the FedRAMP Program Management Office. Upon successful review, the cloud service is granted an Authorization to Operate (ATO). Compliance is maintained through continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, periodic assessments, and regular security reporting.
We begin by understanding your cloud service, reviewing existing practices and identifying what needs to change to meet the applicable FedRAMP requirements.
We work alongside your teams to address the identified gaps and put controls into everyday practice, with clear responsibilities and supporting evidence.
Before the independent assessment, we help your organisation check its readiness, address outstanding issues and prepare staff to explain how their controls work.
After the initial assessment, we help your teams sustain the programme as systems, people and risks change, keeping controls and evidence ready for ongoing review.
